How we can help you to fundraise

The Turf Club is dedicated to assisting you where ever possible making your day a financial and crowd pleasing success. Listed are some of the ways we can assist you with fundraising.

• Bar Takings

  Following your event we calculate the gross takings for your function. Dependant on the function area you have chosen 10% to 20% of this figure is then deducted from your final invoice.

  Please note the Turf Clubs liquor license requires that last drinks are served at 11.30pm and everyone has vacated the function no later than 12pm.

• Race Names

  On a standard Race Day the Club conducts 7 races. The names for these races (i.e. Your Company Class 2 over 1100m) can be purchased by your organisation and then on sold by you to Business’ interested in sponsoring your day. The Turf Club charges $220 (GST incl) for these names and any money you are able to charge over and above this amount is kept by you. Race Name Sponsorship is not available on all race days – please enquire about availability when making your booking.

  Points to entice your potential Sponsors are:

  1. Their business name will be mentioned in association with their named race on the Sky Channel network which is broadcast in hotels and clubs across Australia, New Zealand and selected other countries. Sky Channel is also broadcast to pay TV customers in homes across Australia and the world.
  2. Their business name will be printed in association with their race in all newspapers and other print media publications carrying racing form.
  3. Their business name will be mentioned in association with their named race over Radio TAB and other radio stations broadcasting racing coverage.
  4. An Advert A5 in size (black & white) will be run in our race program coinciding with their sponsored race name.

• Raffles & other Fundraisers

  The Turf Club allows you to conduct raffles and other fundraising activities in your designated area.

• Auction Memorabilia

  The Toowoomba Turf Club can recommend a supplier of authentic sporting memorabilia that can be auctioned during your fundraiser. The memorabilia is supplied along with MC, Auctioneer and all fees are inclusive. That means that any money raised from the sale of the memorabilia above the reserve price is donated directly to your selected fundraising charity.

• Race book advertising

  Race book adverts start at $55 for an A5 page (black & white)

• Advertising Assistance

  We have put together a list of advertising medians that will advertise your race day free of charge. This will assist you in selling those all important tickets to your day.

• Decoration Companies

  These companies can help you to make your selected function room or area look as good as possible with table centre pieces and other decorations. Along with other items listed in our Extra Marquee Fittings list your event will be the talk of the town.

• Extra Marquee Fittings

  Although the Grand Marquee comes equipped with manned Bar and Tote, flat screen TV’s and sound system the items listed in this section will assist in the smooth running of your event or add that professional touch to complete your event.
